Jonathan’s background as a tax and real estate attorney and 20-year bay area resident enables him to provide exceptional service to his clients. Jonathan transitioned from the practice of law into real estate in 2007 and has been a Top Producer at Vanguard Properties ever since—selling over $450,000,000 of real estate since then. Jonathan’s legal expertise makes him comfortable with all aspects of contract negotiations, drafting and interpretation. Extremely personable, dedicated and service-oriented, Jonathan is well known for his 24/7 accessibility, his legendary discretion, laser-focus, and attention to detail.
Jonathan’s extensive career has focused on both traditional real estate sales as well as new construction sales throughout the city’s most popular neighborhoods—including Noe Valley, Mission Dolores, Castro, Mission, SOMA, NOPA, Hayes Valley, Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, and Presidio Heights.
In addition to single-family home and condominium resales, Jonathan has extensive experience in the listing and sales of new construction condominium buildings and TIC-conversion projects-having sold over 100 of these units in recent years. Jonathan’s legal background enables him to work closely and manage the legal paperwork with Title Company’s Subdivision departments, the City and County of San Francisco, condominium and land use attorneys, budget preparers & DRE deputies to assist in the issuance of the final documentation (Public Report) required to sell new and converted developments.
Jonathan was born and raised in Santa Monica, California and earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree from U.C. Berkeley in Art History before going on to earn his Juris Doctorate at U.C. Hastings College of the Law, where he served on the Law Review. Jonathan is a homeowner in San Francisco’s Corona Heights district and is active in the San Francisco nonprofit community. Jonathan also holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate (with multi-engine and instrument ratings) and is an active owner/pilot of a Cirrus SR22T.
